

Before joining CDC Innovation in 2004, Dr. Parpex was the Founder and Managing Partner of Bioam, an early stage Paris-based venture fund dedicated to the life sciences. Previously, she worked as Principal Consultant in the Healthcare Practice of Gemini Consulting.
Earlier, for more than 20 years Dr. Parpex held senior international positions in a number of pharmaceutical companies, including Synthélabo, Rhône-Poulenc Rorer, and Servier.
Within the Rhône-Poulenc Rorer Group (RPR) she held positions as Vice President of Corporate Marketing Worldwide, responsible for several therapeutic areas, and General Manager of Rhône DPC Europe, a joint-venture between RPR and Dainippon. She started at Rhône Poulenc as Development Director of Spécia Laboratories.
Prior to joining Rhône-Poulenc Rorer, Dr. Parpex was medical director of Synthelabo and practiced medicine, specializing in rheumatology.
Beyond her positions as a board member on CDC funded companies, Dr. Parpex has also been a member of a number of outside boards, including Inserm Transfert and the Scientific Commission on Biomedical Research and Clinical Investigation of the INSERM.
She holds a Medical Degree from the Faculté de Médecine de Paris with a specialization in rheumatology and was a resident and Chef de Clinique Assistant at the Hôpitaux de Paris. She is also a graduate from the International Programme of General Management at CEDEP / INSEAD.
